What is Dada? (taken from wikipedia)
Dadaism or Dada is a post-World War I cultural movement in visual art as well as literature (mainly poetry), theatre and graphic design. The movement was, among other things, a protest against the barbarism of the War and what Dadaists believed was an oppressive intellectual rigidity in both art and everyday society; its works were characterized by a deliberate irrationality and the rejection of the prevailing standards of art. It influenced later movements including Surrealism.
What is Oblique.info? It is a automatic dadaist weblog witter. It reads RSS/Atom feeds from other web logs. Strips the content into plain text and copies the links. It then generates a post based of of a Markov Chain, as described in jwz’s dadadodo. It then chooses random links and words to add links to the post. It isn’t complete. I don’t like how it currently posts, it should simulate a person’s habits and schedule more. I don’t like how rigid it is, it doesn’t vary its posts enough. More on the development will be up as I update the the scripts.
